On 3^rd March 2010, Google Inc has introduced the new Gesture Search application for the devices that running Android 2.0 or above in the US. This search application is invented to search the contents faster such like search on suggestions or search by voice.

Gesture Search allows users simply drawing or writing alphabet gestures on the touch-screen device to filter the contacts, search an installed application, find bookmark or a music track from a long list of items.

On 4^th February 2010, Samsung had introduced its new SHW-M100S, which will be the Google Android 2.1 powered smartphone. The announcement for this new handset was a week ahead for the coming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (15 – 18 February 2010).

The Samsung SHW-M100S comes with an 800MHz processor, a large 3.7-inch of AMOLED touch-screen with WVGA resolution and DivX playback support. It has a 5-megapixel camera that supports 720p video recording and include a Digital Television (DTV) chip that allows users to watch the TV on the go. The large antenna could help to receive better signal while watching the digital TV on the device.

The Samsung SHW-M100S will also have the GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack and Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB) mobile TV tuner.

On 17^th January 2010, Motorola, Inc. had introduced its new Motoroi smartphone in SEOUL, Korea. Motorola Motoroi is the Korea’s first smartphone that powered by Google Android 2.0 platform with SK Telecom network support in Korea. It also the korea’s first HDMI capable in smartphone category.

On 13^rd November 2009, Dell had announced the company is ready to enter the smartphone business with the Android based Mini 3.

Dell will distribute its new Mini 3 smartphones in China and Brazil through partnerships with two of the world’s largest mobile operators which are China Mobile (World largest telecommunications company) and Brazil’s Claro by the end of the year 2009.

Dell Mini 3 smartphones run Google’s Android platform. however, Dell Mini 3 is actually a name for full range of devices sold in different configurations and Operating System (OS) options. The full-touchscreen phone depends on a customized version of Android and will have different features based on the region.
