Nowadays, the price of hard disk is getting cheaper. Eventually two days ago, I decided to buy a 320GB storage of hard disk to extend my current available 40GB of disk space at my laptop. The price I bought the 320GB hard disk was RM174 after RM5 discount, and I paid another RM10 for “first year one to one exchange without physical damage” warranty.

At first, I tried to put into the HDD enclosure that supports for both IDE and SATA hard disks. During the first time I turned on the power, the new hard disk drive was not show on my computer, even my laptop had detected this new hard disk was properly installed and ready to use. I tried to search around the Internet to find the solution. At my first thought, I suspected my USB ports are not supported for this fast USB2.0 drive plugged into it, and I spend half day for this problem and kept checking around at “Drive Manager” and found that I have “USB Enhanced Host Controller” that is the universal serial bus control that supports any USB2.0 fast drive plug into the USB ports.

Finally I found the solution for this problem. Because, this is the new hard disk and it was not initialed, not formatted and no partition(s) were created, so my laptop can detect this new hardware but can not display the drive at my computer there.

So, I right click at My Computer -> select manage -> select Storage -> select Disk Management, then I saw the external hard disk drive there, I followed to initial the new hard disk, format it then create partitions (NTFS). At last, I am able to see the external hard disk drive showing at my computer and I can access to this new hard disk. Actually, this was a minor setting problem, that cause me long time to solve it, I had learned from this problem, there must be a way to solve the technical problems as long as you not give up easily for the problem solving.

RapidKL is a public transport at kuala lumpur. A bus that offer a daily ticket for your whole day trip. You can have unlimited ride with your daily ticket around the specific region, either local ride (RM1) or city ride (RM2).

I have been working at PJ around 2 years, since July 2006 that joined the Aptech computer training program and working with companies. Most of the time, I will prefer RapidKL for work and travel to kuala lumpur.

It was about 6 months ago, RapidKLs have installed Asia Media TVs to attract customers. There are two LCD screens at the front and middle of the bus. Mostly the show is about a short advertisements, cartoon, movie trailer, fun and laugh series, Mr. Bean and more.

This was the photo I took a week ago, while went to KL after work. Most of the time, bus is fully of people, not have chance to take photo, only until that day manage to take a snap shot, while there were not much people in the bus.

Few weeks ago, my Google adsense’s account has been hold for the purpose of verification, for account holder. It requires to enter a pin number to release account on hold status. Until yesterday I had received an airmail from Google that sent from USA.

Above airmail consists of account pin number to remove AdSense account on hold status. This is not the paycheck that sent from Google but this shows that Google look seriously for the fraud and periodic perform an account verification check.

Long time ago, Google AdSense has bring huge fortune for many publishers, some gain hundreds, some gain thousands per month/ year, some use wordpress google adsense deluxe to display ads wisely, as long as you study the strategic of wisely using google adsense as advertiser or publisher, you could know how powerful this program can bring you profits in term of sales and revenues.

Few months ago, our company has tendered a project, that partner with Jaring. Jaring Communications is the most famous place to apply dial-up connection; pay bill for the streamyx broadband connection. Almost every week me and my colleague as technical consultant need to have meeting with Jaring staffs for the project.

Of course, we also went to Jaring communications data center to check the servers that belong to our company. The data center of Jaring is located at the ground floor of the Jaring’s building.

When the lift arrived at the ground floor, It was very cold, and the air-con is on 24 hours to prevent the servers overheat. Above photo shown that when the staff lead us to the servers room, there are lot of servers, in the server racks.

All the switches, extensions, cables, CPUs, monitors are sorted very tidily. We went to check our server and the hardware, software specification, in order to host for the project.

This is our servers, look like normal personal computer but all the hardware and software specification have been fully upgraded to support our project for thousand of future customers.

This is the high specification servers from the front look. The monitor for the admin to manage the both servers. Basically, this is all about the data center, we had a half day trip for visiting the data center at Jaring.
