This morning when surfing around and visited to wordpress website. I found that wordpress, the blogging platform is going to release latest version 2.5 soon In this month. There are some usability changes to this version such like the features, the requirement to install It and so on. Below is the Details.

1. Minimum requirements
- PHP version 4.3 or later.
- Database version is currently not announced yet.

2. New user features
- Admin redesign
- Widget-based dashboard.
- Able to have any number of any widget.
- Undo for comment editing.
- Search for both posts and pages.

3. For developer
- Use $wpdb->prepare everywhere.
- Switch to expect un-escaped data for internal functions.
- XML-RPC re factor.

I can say that, I never upgrade my wordpress blogging platform, since Version 2.21. Because I had implement many plugins and my own small add on functions to it for better performance and comfortable use, so if i upgrade to new version, the crash; rewrite of my add on functions; and many other unexpected issues will raise, that why I choose not to upgrade it. Use the familiar and comfortable version is always good, unless It is necessary for some serious problems or bugs, otherwise I will remain in this version.
