Microsoft first Android Smartphone, Nokia X2

Microsoft has recently unveiled its first Nokia-branded Android-based smartphone called as Nokia X2. The new smartphone comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA display and it is powered by a snapdragon 200, dual core CPU clocked at 1.2 Ghz and 1GB of RAM.

The Nokia X2 is packed with new Nokia Software Platform 2.0, which is the next generation of the forked Android Platform that first appeared on the device. It has 4.3-inch ClearBlack display with 800 X 480 pixel at 217 ppi with a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera and flash on the rear and a VGA front camera for video call.

The device will also come with pre-loaded software, such as Outlook, Skype, OneDrive and offers 15 GB of free cloud storage with Android app available through the Nokia Store. There is also a new home key and visual multitasking along with a pull down notification tab that display connectivity options and actionable items such as software update and so on.

In term of the connectivity, it has USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.aab/g/n Wi-Fi and a dual-SIM slot. The 1,800mAh battery can support up to 10 hours of talk time on 2G, 13 hours on 3G and up to 23 days of standby. Nokia X2 will be available in glossy yellow, white, and matte dark grey colors for the price of Euros 99 each.
