Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., today held the 2013 Samsung SSD Global Summit and announced the launch of their new Solid State Drive (SSD) called as SSD 840 Evo. This new and latest SSD is available for the market demand with up to 1TB of storage capacities.

The new Samsung SSD 840 Evo line-up has high-performance, high-density capabilities and the hard disk is also the consumer-oriented entry-level of SATA based SSD drive. It utilizes the industry most compact 10-nanometer class NAND flash memory.
With all the chips and multi-core controller, the Samsung SSD 840 Evo can have improved sequential read and write speeds. Additionally, Samsung has also developed the XS1715, industry’s first 2.5-inch NVMe SSD line-up. This device will expand the market base for enterprise SSDs, which will be available in the second half of this year.
Beside these, the new NVMe SSD XS1715 capable to delivers random read performance more than 10 times faster than other Samsung’s former high-end enterprise SSD storage and the new NVMe SSD utilizes both the PCIe 3.0 interface that is able two times faster than the PCIe 2.0 interface. The NVM express technology uses to accelerate the SSD’s overall speed.
