Pentax Ricoh, the imaging company that manufactures cameras, sport optics and medical-related products, has recently announced the launch of their Pentax WG-3 and WG-3 GPS digital compact cameras.
The cameras are designed with water-proof, shock-resistant performance as well as feature a high-performance, large-aperture zoom, dual shake-reduction system to capture high quality images in the water or in the field. Both WG-3 and WG-3 GPS allows using to take photos underwater deep to 14 meters; shock resistance; against a fall from a height of two meters.

The cameras have four-time optical zoom lens with the maximum aperture of F2.0 at wide-angle end. The cameras come with high-sensitivity, back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, so they are capable to capture high-quality, low-noise images at any time and even in the water or at night time with poor light conditions.
The cameras have added outstanding features such as 10 Degree Celsius cold resistance, dual shake reduction system, full HD movie recording at 1920 x 1080 pixels, wide-frame 3.0-inch LCD monitor.
Besides these, the Pentax WG-3 GPS model also features advanced GPS functions that allows users to record position data and travel log data when capture images. It features pressure/ altitude/ depth gauge, a digital compass as well as a wireless recharging system to facilitate outdoor images capturing and videos recording.
