I-O Data, a Japanese computer peripheral manufacturer, has rolling out its new WN-G300GR high-speed communication LAN Gigabit wireless router. This new router capable to reach 300Mbps data transfer rate and it can be setup without a computer where it can be set from the smartphone.

I-O Data WN-G300GR router utilizes power-saving technology to operate with little power consumption and its ECO mode can reduce the power consumption up to 63% during standby. It comes with four LAN ports, one Internet LAN port, single-band Wi-Fi access point at 2.4GHz and it supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
Users can easily setup their Internet connection without any special CD tool and installation. It is the ideal router for the ultra-book and Macbook Air with no disk drive. The settings are simple by entering a pair of username and password.
Users can also access the settings from the smartphone screen, open wireless router LAN setup screen and check the status of the router, change the settings of ECO mode without a computer. I-O Data WN-G300GR router will be started shipping from 31st March 2013 for 6,615 Yen or about $69.
