Google launches first premium Chromebook Pixel

Google has just launched its new and first premium Chromebook Pixel which has a 12.85-inch touch-screen with a 2560 X 1700 resolution display and it is the highest of any notebook at 239ppi. Chromebook Pixel is only about 3.35 pounds. It enclosures with anodized aluminum and it has active cooling technology without visible vents.

The notebook also supports for multi-touch inputs and its Gorilla Glass-protected display has 400 nits of brightness with an integrated 720p webcam at the top of the screen. It supports for 178 degree viewing angle, which designed for easy video conferencing.

Chromebook Pixel is powered by 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of DDR3 RAM as well as integrated Intel graphics card. It has 32GB of SSD storage capacity and includes 1TB of Google Drive cloud storage for free for three years. Its 59Wh battery can support up to five hours of continuously use.

In term of connectivity, it has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, a mini display port, two USB 2.0 ports and also a built-in SD card reader slot. It features a built-in LTE modem, which gives the users to have a 64GB SSD space, 100MB of bandwidth per month for two years over Verizon Wireless mobile broadband.

The Wi-Fi model of Chromebook Pixel will be about $1300 and ship by next week, whereas the LTE model with expanded internal storage will be about $1450 and ship by early of April.
