It has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, so users can wirelessly connect and scan directly to an iOS or Android mobile device without the need of the computer. It also inherits the superior paper feeding technology from its professional-grade scanners, so iX500 can achieve exceptional feeding reliability by using Separation Roller technology to minimize jam and multi-feeds.

The ScanSnap iX500 scanner has more scanning options and its quick menu for PC and Macbook automatically pops up after scanning to provide the users a variety of ways to be immediately productive with their scans. Besides these, there is a new Favorite function to help the users to use the scanner at peak efficiency.

The ScanSnap iX500 scanner is also equipped with an ultrasonic multi-feed detection sensor that can be turned on to help them avoid losing images and allows users to quickly bypass intentional double-feeds such as a taped-receipt on an expense report or even a sticky note on an document.
