Belkin has recently announced its new home-automation tool called as WeMo Insight Switch. It is a family of simple, ingenious product that make life easier, simpler, better.

WeMo uses the Wi-Fi network and mobile Internet to control the home electronics right from the smartphone. It also works with IFTTT, connecting the home electronics to a whole world of online apps.

It comes with improved of its older version by adding the ability to monitor power usage and allows users to create rules and schedules to monitor the power usage.

The WeMo Insight Switch plugs into a regular wall socket and users can then plugs an appliance into the device. WeMo is smart enough to display the information directly on the user’s iPhone or iPad. Users can receive the notification when an appliance is active.
