Avegant introduces Glyph Virtual Retinal Display

Avegant has recently introduced its new Glyph headset that integrates a brilliant, vivid video display and premium audio experience in a unique flip-down form factor. This new technology will also be showcased at CES 2014 in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10, 2014.

Glyph is the innovative and developed with optical engine called a Virtual Retinal Display. It is using a low powered LED and a series of custom optics and a micro-mirror array, the visuals produced by the headset are crisper and brighter than those from conventional display technologies in the market.

It also creates an environment perfect for media consumption from 3D movies to desktop environments to streamed television shows. The integrated head tracking allows for immersive, responsive gaming for almost all of the latest game consoles and games.

Glyph has nicely packaging with forward-thinking design to deliver the great experience to the users and its improved core technology that will make generalized virtual world possible. The consumer units will be available at Kickstarter on 22nd January 2014 for $499.
