Sony new USB 3.0 MicroVault drives and UHS-I SD cards

Sony has recently announced its USB 3.0 MicroVault flash drives and new Ultra-High Speed Interface (UHS-I) SD memory cards at the CES 2012.

The MicroVault drives include USM-Q, USM-P and USM-M models. Except for the USM-P, all of them support USB 3.0 for data transfer rate up to 120mbps read speeds and 90mbps write speeds.

The USM-P comes with and LED indicator light and compact design and USM-M has a different design and colors. The MicroVault pen drives will be available in March 2012 with the starting price at $16, $30, $45 for USM-M, USM-P and USM-Q respectively.

On the other hand, the UHS-I SD cards offered by Sony can read data with maximum speeds of94mbps and write as high as 45mbps. It is suitable for DSLR camera and High-Definition camcorder to write large chunks of data onto it from time to time. It will also be available in March 2012 with initial price of $45.
