Shuttle Inc., the company that develops and specializes in innovative mini PCs, has launched the Omninas KD20, which is the new and first network-attached storage device specially designed for home and small offices users.

The Omninas KD20 is a two-bay Network-Attached Storage (NAS) that can be served as hub or multimedia content for users to store and share documents easily within the network. Both bays are hot-swappable, each of them can fit with the 3.5-inch hard drive or solid state disk up to Maximum 4TB in storage capacity and this is sufficient enough for users to store plenty of videos, movies, music, photos and documents files.

It is energy efficient with quiet when operating. The drives can be monitored with S.M.A.R.T and can also be set in RAID-0, RAID-1 or JBOD. Omninas KD20 comes with a card reader slot, two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port for easy connecting to more external storage devices to the network.

A Gigabit Ethernet port provides network connectivity for the device with 15.5 watts while being used and 9 watts when hibernating. It is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible, so it is more convenience, choices and entertainments by connect it to any DLNA Certified devices. Omninas KD20 is available in Europe for 130 Euros or about $170 USD.
