Lenovo unveils ThinkPad Tablet 2 for Windows 8

Lenovo has recently announced its upcoming ThinkPad Tablet 2, which is the Lenovo’s first tablet to run on the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. It comes with 10.1-inch (1366 x 768) IPS screen display, 9.8mm thick and about 600 grams in weight.

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 is designed for multi-use; it features an optional digitizer and pen for precision input, 3G wireless, 4G models along with security features such like Fingerprint Reader, IT management technologies as well as corporate-level service and support.

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 helps users to manage the increasing overlap between personal and work life today. It is powered by Intel Atom Processor based on mobile platform and Windows 8 Pro. This versatile tablet can work across varied environments and it supports multiple input methods such as multi-finger touch, fast note taking, capturing signatures and completing forms.

It also features high-definition display, front and rear-facing cameras for video calling, video conferencing and uploading photos. It has built-in noise canceling microphones, HDMI interface and wireless video streaming supports. Additionally, Lenovo Services offer a complete suite of packages including sealed battery warranties, damage protection and custom imaging. Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 will be available when Windows 8 launches in October 2012.
