WD releases My Passport Drives for Apple Macs

Western Digital (WD) has recently launched its new Mac-formatted editions of My Passport Drives that specially designed for Apple Macs users. These portable drives are compact is size and easy to connect to Mac computers via a USB 2.0 cable.

The new WD My Passport drives support the Time Machine backup; password protection for the data as well as hardware encryption to protect the files from unauthorized access. These new My Passport drives are available in three storage capacities, which are 1TB, 750GB and 500GB models.

WD My Passport drives measure 4.36 x 0.8 x 3.24-inch and about 0.52 pounds. It has solid metal enclosure for better durability and provides maximum protection for the drive from scratch.

Besides these, there are more advanced option in My Passport Studio. It sports two FireWire 800 connections that allow for substantially faster data transfers. WD My Passport drives are now available for $129.99 (1TB); $119.99 (750GB) and $99.99 (500GB).
