Trim Slice Nvidia Tegra 2 Desktop is now available

CompuLab, a leading designer and manufacturer of computer-on-module boards and miniature PC systems, has recently put its new Nvidaia Tegra 2 based Trim-Slice miniature computer on sales. It is a fanless ARM desktop in metal case and about 0.6-inch thin.

The Trim-Slice is the first desktop computer powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 that offered by the company. It is a powerful multimedia platform, which comes with dual-core ARM Cortex A9 at 1GHz of GeForce GPU; 1GB RAM memory; 1080p HDMI and 5.1 channels digital audio.

Trim-Slice runs Linux and it is supported in the mainline kernel revision 2.6.39. It is the best for developers that are looking for an open cost-effective, high-performance ARM platform and unique solution for their software development.

There are three available configurations offered by Trim-Slice,
1. Trim-Slim Barebone – Comes with 1GHz Tegra 2, 1GB RAM, HDMI port, Gigabit Ethernet, four USB ports, two SD slots and RS232 serial port with suggested retail price of $199.
2. Trim-Slim Value – All Trim-Slim Barebone features plus added four GB micro-SD card with Linux pre-installed and a USB 802.11n Wi-Fi adapter with suggested retail price of $219.
3. Trim-Slim Pro – Comes with 1GHz Tegra 2, 1GB RAM, 32GB SSD with Linux pre-installed, HDMI and DVI ports, Gigabit Ethernet, built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi, four USB ports, two SD slots, RS232 serial port and a USB Bluetooth adapter with suggested price of $319.
