Thecus, the company that specializes in storage solutions and R&D expert, has recently announced its new N4100Evo NAS server is going to be shipped on 7th January 2012. This newest 4-bay NAS server is an excellent media server that provides huge storage capacities for large amount of songs, pictures, files and movies content.

The NAS server is DLNA-compliant that allows users to stream all of the multimedia on their Television, stereo or mobile device. Its RAID accelerator can build RAID5 quicker with dedicated chip, saving time and keeping the main CPU available for multi-tasking. Users can manage the NAS server using an iOS or Android device remotely.

It has Acronis’ advanced backup software, which has slick interface, user-friendly design and comprehensive features to backup all the data with one click protection or pick and choose for the most important files. It also comes with Rsync function that makes the backup more efficient, flexible at all the time.

Besides these, the N4100Evo NAS server is equipped with a 2-inch LCD screen; a 600MHz Cavium dual-core processor; 256MB of DDR2 RAM; four SATA hard disk drives bays; a dedicated XOR engine to lighten the load of building the RAID; two USB 2.0 ports and supports for multiple RAID setup as well as JBOD. The server will be sold at the price of 44,000 Yen or about $563.50.
