Sony HD-PG5u, the company first external hard drives series

Sony has recently introduced its HD-PG5, the first external hard drives series that compatible with Bravia TV and all other devices from Sony. It offers reliable data storage and high-speed data transfer capability via its USB 3.0 interface with supplied Data Transfer Accelerator software.

Sony HD-PG5u series of portable hard drives comes with stylish design and 500GB storage capacity, which is sufficient to store and safeguard dozen of media content such as High-Definition videos, photos, documents as well as music files.

It has built-in direct copy function that allows users to copy video clips directly from the Handycam camcorders. The hard drives also have password protection manager (provides 256-bit security measurement), backup manager, control interface to manage the settings of the hard drives and FAT32 Formatter software is included in the package.

It allows users to direct recording of HD TV programs from the TV’s tuner and also the PlayStation 3 users can connect the hard drive via the USB and stored AVCHD videos and photos via the Filmy application without the need of a PC. The Sony HD-PG5u series of external hard drives will be available at mid July 2011 in United Kingdom, France and German.
