Samsung unveils two more new thinnest Galaxy Tab tablets

Samsung has again unveiled its two new Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 tablets in the tablets competition among other brands. These two new tablets come with improved user interface and about 8.6mm thick, which are the thinnest and largest tablet in the industry.

In this long run of tablets competition, Samsung has remade its already revealed Galaxy tab 10.1 about few weeks ago, and now the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet sports the rounded edges, flatter back and replaced the large Samsung logo on the back with more minimal logo without the circle.

The previous unveiled model was 10.9mm thick and the new remade model is about 0.2mm thinner than iPad 2 with 8.8mm thick. Galaxy Tab 8.9 is slightly smaller and more productive than the 10.1 model and it has been framed as a movie and media consumption tablet.

Both tablets are powered by 1GHz dual-core application processor and running on the Google Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) platform with new TouchWiz 4.0 UX added on top. They have built-in dual stereo speakers, 2-megapixel of front camera and 720p rear camera. Both tablets support Wi-Fi and 4G HSPA+ connectivity with data transfer rate up to 21MB per second. Both Galaxy Tab support up to 10 hours of video playback with their 6800 mAh battery (10.1 model); 6000 mAh battery (8.9 model).

Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available in this coming 8th June for $499 (Wi-Fi 16GB model) and $599 (Wi-Fi 32GB model); whereas the Galaxy Tab 8.9 will be available in this coming early summer for $469 (Wi-Fi 16GB model) and $569 (Wi-Fi 32GB model).
