This is the next generation Vertex 3 SATA III SSD product lineup that specially designed to cater both client and enterprise applications. It offers 6GB per second speed of the SATA III interface, which is doubled the performance of their previous generation.

The Vertex 3 SSDs feature the new SandForce SF-2200 SSD processor, which raises the performance with 550MB per second read; 500MB per second write and supports transfer rate up to 60,000 IOPS (4k random write). The drives utilize fast synchronous mode 2xnm MLC NAND flash technology, so capable to deliver exceptional performance.

For the Vertex 3 Pro SSDs specially designed for clients, who seeking enterprise-grade MLC (Multi-Level Cell) SSD storage for their servers or IT infrastructures. Vertex 3 Pro provides an optimized balance of reliability and component-based cost-savings for enterprise clients. Both models feature TRIM support, which allows an operating system to inform the SSDs, which blocks of data are no longer in use and can be wiped internally.

Both Vertex 3 and Vertex 3 Pro will be showcased at CeBIT trade-show next week in Hanover, Germany. Vertex 3 model will be available in 120GB and 240GB storage capacities whereas the Vertex 3 Pro model will be available in 100GB, 200GB and 400GB storage capacities.
