LaCie new CloudBox supports automatic cloud backup

LaCie, the company that specializing in external hard drives, optical drive and computer peripherals, has recently announced their new implementation of the combination of local and secure online storage called as LaCie CloudBox.

LaCie CloudBox ensures the data is safely backed up on a local hard drive and in the cloud, which allows users to access their data anywhere once connect to the Internet. Users do not need to worry their data because LaCie backing up their data securely in the cloud server. It also allows users to restore their partial or entire online copy into their local hard drive up to 10 previous versions.

LaCie CloudBox supports Windows XP and latest version; Mac OS 10.5; Linux 2.6 and above operating systems with minimum hard disk space of 600MB. It requires Ethernet switch or router 10/ 100/ 1GB for the connectivity. LaCie CloudBox provides a one-step process to backup the files in two places and it can automatically sends a new copy of the files to the cloud daily and also, it allows users to perform the online backup independently.

In term of the security, LaCie CloudBox uses multiple levels of data security including the 128-bit AES data encryption for the local and online version of backup data. The CloudBox comes with 100GB storage capacity and includes a one-year online backup contract with 100GB for $199.99.
