JVC announces two new HD 3D camcorders at CES 2011

JVC, a Japanese international consumer and professional electronics corporation based in Yokohame, Japan, has recently announced its upcoming Camcorders, which are JVC GS-TD1 and HD Everio GZ-HM960.

The GS-TD1 model will be the World’s consumer camcorder to offer 3D recording in Full HD based on the JVC-developed high-speed processor that capable to produce two Full HD images at the same time whereas the JVC’s HD Everio GZ-HM960 model capable to turn any 2D footage into 3D and output can be viewed without 3D glasses on the camera’s 3.5-inch 3D LCD monitor.

The GS-TD1 camcorder comes with a 3.5-inch touch panel LCD monitor to display 3D images without any need for 3D glasses as uses two camera lenses and two 3.32 megapixel CMOS sensors to capture 3-dimensional images. The camcorder uses the high-speed imaging engine to process two Full HD images at 1920 x 1080i and its LR (Left-Right) Independent Format makes GS-TD1 becomes the World’s first consumer-oriented camcorder for 3D shooting in Full High-Definition.

Besides these, the GS-TD1 camcorder also offers other recording modes. For example the most used Side-by-Side Format for AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) 3D and conventional AVCHD 2D images shooting. The GS-TD1 camcorder features round iris diaphragms that support for beautiful effect shooting such like background blurring for both video and still images.

It allows users to perform 3D optical 5X zoom and features an optical Axis Automatic Stabilization system; JVS’s BIPHONIC technology for dynamic 3D sound; and Automatic Parallax Adjustment to optimize the 3D-video.

The HD Everio GZ-HM960 camcorder also comes with 3D capability. Both models per-installed with Everio MediaBrowser software for editing and sharing of the content. Users can upload their video and still images to social media site such like YouTube, Facebook, Flickr. For the GS-TD1, the software allows 3D video to be shared on YouTube website.

The JVC GZ-TD1 Full HD 3D camcorder will be available in March 2011 for $1,999.95 whereas the HD Everio GZ-HM960 will be available in February 2011 for $949.95.
