Hillcrest Labs, the creator of first pointer-based, interactive media system for TV, has recently unveiled its new Scoop Pointer, which is a third generation in-air mouse with six-axis motion controller that capable to wirelessly control any PC, Mac, USB HID compatible device through a USB antenna.

This new OEM product is a reference design, which comes with some enhancements such as the smaller and lighter form factor; new chipset and firmware for affordable costs; better performance; nine programmable buttons; a scroll wheel; full six-axis controls for better gesture or game play.

Hillcrest Labs has also introduced its new Freespace MotionEngine and Modules that flexible their customers to incorporate this technology into their products and accelerate their time to market. Based on Freespace technology, its simplify the design of motion enabled products and offers more cheaper cost, high performance, scalable motion solutions for their future products lines.

There are two versions of the Scoop pointer, one is designed and optimized for TV viewing whereas another version with a red laser pointer designed for business and educational users.
