Electrolux Design Lab, an annual global design competition platform for creative and talented design students to present their innovative electronic products across the world. Now the final competition is ongoing for the eight conceptual electronic designs.

These eight conceptual electronic products is opening for public’s votes from 18th August to 9th September and will be scrutinized by an expert jury panel on the day to pick the winner in London. Every vote will count towards to the Electrolux Design Lab 2011 People’s Choice award for the talented designer.

These eight concepts will be judged on the intuitive design, consumer insight and usability on real world. The winner will be rewarded 5,000 Euros plus a six months paid internship at an Electrolux global design center. Of course, the second and third winners will be rewarded 3,000 Euros and 2,000 Euros respectively.

The 8 finalist concepts are,
1. Mobile induction heat plate (902), a smart induction cooker designed by Tommi Moilanen.
2. Smoobo blender, a fun and environmentally friendly way of making smoothies by Roseanne de Bruin.
3. Sous-vide cell cooker, a concept inspired by the professional trend of slow food cooking by Adam Miklosi.
4. Onda portable microwave oven, a portable microwave oven by Matthew Schwartz.
5. Robo tap cleaner, a smart evolution of the robotic vacuum cleaner by Gyu Ha Choi.
6. Ribbon, an all-in-one hotplate, warming device and cooler for portable use by Enzo Kocak.
7. Salve bagel toaster, an intelligent mobility toaster by Kent Madden.
8. Portable spot cleaner, a portable cleaning concept by Andrian Mankovecky.
