Asus NAS-M25 Dual-Bay Gigabit Network Storage Server

Asus has recently released its new NAS-M25 storage server in Europe. This new foolproof data protection and fast networked storage device comes with Dual-Bay Gigabit feature and it can be easily added as a network-attached storage device.

This new NAS-M25 supports up to 256 concurrent connections and includes UPnP and DLNA support. It is an perfect selection for the file and media network server as well as uses in data backup plans. NAS-M25 is now available in Europe for 212.90 Euros.

It comes with VMWare virtualization support that allows backup images to be mounted in a virtual machine for fast data recovery. Once it has made a complete image of a PC hard drive as the initial backup, users can perform the complete system backup or recovery within 30 minutes by using the universal restore feature.

It is a compact NAS (Network Attached Storage) device that only uses two 3.5-inch hard drive bays in a mirrored RAID 1 configuration that serve up to 4TB of storage capacities. Although it is portable and compact in size, its Gigabit Ethernet capable to deliver fast file transfers with compatible devices.

NAS-M25 has 1.2GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 128MB flash memory with dual firmware support, which can reduce the downtime and prevent the files corruption by failed upgrade or power outage. It also supports for Windows and Linux operating system with Windows Active Directory plus full multimedia streaming to DLNA-compatible devices.
