Amazon offers Cloud Drive and Cloud Player for web users

Amazon has recently introduced its Cloud Drive and pushes a cloud computing storage service into the mainstream for the web users. It offers 5GB of free online storage capacity and unlimited secure access from any computer without worry about losing the files.

The Cloud Drive online storage service allows users to store their music, videos, photos and documents on Amazon’s secure servers and user can get an initial 5GB of free online storage that can be upgraded to 20GB, 50GB, 100GB, 200GB, 500GB and 1TB with the price of $1 per Gigabyte per year.

For those users who purchase an album from the Amazon MP3 store in this promotion period, Amazon will offer 20GB of free storage for one year start from the date of the purchase. This additional 15GB allows users to store up to 3500 songs.

Besides the Cloud Drive, Amazon also allows their existing customers with valid billing address in United States to access to Cloud Player. Amazon Cloud Player is a free web and Android application that supports both Mac and computer; it allows users to build/ update playlists, download/ delete music, view/ browse and play the music.
