Woow Digital’s The One tablet with Android Gingerbread 2.3

Woow Digital, the Japanese tablet manufacturer, has announced its upcoming The One tablet, which is powered by Google Android Gingerbread 2.3 and running on a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor.

The One tablet comes with 10-inch touch-screen display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. It has built-in 1GB of RAM and a 16GB of flash storage. The tablet supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) 3G connectivity.

The One tablet will also be the first to load the Google Android 2.3 operating system codenamed as Gingerbread. Significantly, the Google Android Gingerbread will have more functions and features for the tablets, for example, the graphics user interface has tipped for a major upgrade and it make the device more smooth and fast while navigate around the applications.

Additionally, the Android Gingerbread supports video chat and Google Wi-Fi calling. It also supports for WebM video playback and Near Field communication.

More specification of the tablet will soon available at the official website. The One tablet will first launch in Japan before the Christmas for 42,000 Yen ($504). Then the tablet will be followed to launch in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Europe.
