Western Digital, the second largest computer hard drives manufacturer in the world, has recently launched its new My Passport Studio portable hard drive.

It is specially formatted for Mac computer users, compatible with Apple Time Machine software and it is packed with WD SmartWare software for automatic continuous data encryption and backup with real-time visual interface. It gives users a reassuring view of their backup process.

My Passport Studio ultra portable hard drive is featuring the super-fast data accessible with FireWire 800 interface, drive lock – 256-bit hardware-based encryption for data security and a customizable e-label smart display that able to show the available capacity and security status of the hard disk drive.

The e-labeling system can help users effectively organize their works. Users can create their own personalized drive label to show what is stored on the drive and the e-label smart display is always visible even turn off the power supply and unplugged the power cable.
