Sony today announced the company latest and innovative NEX-VG10 handycam following its 25th anniversary in industry-leading Handycam product line.

The new NEX-VG10 is the world’s first consumer interchangeable lenses High-Definition camcorder and also the first camcorder to feature an extra-large Exmor APS High-Definition CMOS sensor; Quad Capsule Spatial Array stereo microphone to record spectacular audio and premium stereo sound. The microphone itself has four precision placed microphone capsules to provide exceptional front-side directive and stereo separation.

It can perform full video recording up to 24Mbps at 1920 x 1080/ 60i HD resolution in AVCHD format and capable to capture 14-megapixel of still image. It is the best ideal for recording on to Blu-ray Dics media. Sony NEX-VG10 is perfectly designed for those video enthusiasts and photographers to capture a full length of High-Definition cinematic movie with stereo sound effect.

It is bundled with E-mount 18-200mm lens, which supplies 11 times zoom with a silent auto-focus system and Optical SteadyShot image-stabilization with Active mode. Additionally users can add their favorite A-mount lenses including the award-winning G lens and Carl Zeiss lenses, via a mount adapter.

The handycam is coupled with Sony’s powerful BIOZ processor and allows users to experience the DSLR-quality photo capture with several features such as Auto HDR (High Dynamic Range), Hand-held Twilight, Anti motion blur and fast catching action sequences with a continuous burst rate up to seven frames per second.

Besides these, Sony NEX-VG10 allows the users to capture more sound from the object and reduce background noise. It features dedicated inputs for optional external microphones and headphones to monitor the sound levels. With the TruBlack technology, the camcorder can have higher contrast and brightness to its 3.0-inch Xtra Fine LCD display.

There are several options for choosing the rechargeable battery including the NP-FV100, which provides up to 315 minutes of active video recording. Sony NEX-VG10 can extend its storage memory by inserting the Memory Stick PRO Duo or SD (SDHC and SDXC formats) memory card into the single card slot.

The camcorder will be available in this coming September for $2,000. It is included 10 video editing software tools for video composite, color correction and sound mixing effects.
