Sony Ericsson new LiveView Micro Display

Sony Ericsson has recently announced their innovative accessory called as LiveView, which is a micro display with remote control to mirror the activities of the handsets via Bluetooth connectivity. It is compatible with most of the Android 2 handsets.

The Sony Ericsson LiveView is running on Google Android platform. It delivers the best mobile phone experience to the end users and serves as a calendar reminder, showing the calendar events and others phone applications. It allows users to control the phone without taking it out from their pocket.

Sony Ericsson LiveView is smaller in size and it can be easily attached in a watch strap, keychain or clipped to a laptop. It has 1.3-inch OLED (128 x 128 pixel) display that is the first accessory from Sony Ericsson that was built based on the Google Android platform, and this open source platform allows developers to develop their own applications and run on this accessory.

Once the handset is pairing with the LiveView, users will be able to control their phone remotely, read text messages, see incoming calls, select music tracks, control the volume, and even get the latest news on the social networking sites, tweets and RSS feed.

Besides these, Sony Ericsson has also developed the LiveWare Manager application, which helps to scan Android market and find the applications that are compatible with the LiveView accessory.

Sony Ericsson LiveWare manager will be available from Android market soon and Sony Ericsson LiveView is expected to be available in stores from Q4, 2010.
