Seagate introduces GoFlex Home network storage system

Seagate on 19th July 2010, announces its newest network storage system is going to be added to its GoFlex family of hard drives series. The device serves as the new centralized storage system to simplify the backup process and compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.

The device can be easily connected to a wireless router and enabled those computers within the network to access and back up files without the need of the physical cable. The wireless signal is strong for the connection of multiple computers from any room in the house.

Seagate GoFlex Home network storage system can automatically back up files and folders up to three PC and Mac computers. Users can stream photos, movies and music to the network connected DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) devices. DLNA is a standard connectivity to allow entertainment devices such as game consoles, media players within the home to share the contents with each other across a home network.

The network storage system provides plenty of memory storage and it is the best solution for home laptops, netbooks and computers with limited storage to be connected. Its modular design enables the home network storage system to increase the memory storage by simply removing the drive from the base and replacing it with a higher capacity GoFlex Desk hard drive.

The FreeAgent GoFlex Tv HD media player is the accessory component for the network storage system to let users enjoy all their movies, music and photo on their Television in full 1080 pixels resolution with rich Dolby Digital and DTS audio sound effects.
