NVIDIA has recently released the new GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) GeForce GTX 400 series, which are GTX480 and GTX470. This GPU GeForce GTX 400 series is the first GPU that developed based on the company new designed Fermi architecture and supports for all DirectX 11 hardware features that including DirectCompute and tessellation. They are equipped with DirectX 11, CUDA and NVIDIA PhysX technologies.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX480 comes with 480 visual processing cores, 16 geometry units and four raster engine units that would produce better performance, futuristic and visually-stunning graphics compared to the ATI Radeon HE 5800 series.

It is the world’s fastest GPU that specially designed for next generation gaming effect and enhanced 3D effect from the NVIDIA existing 3D Vision to 3D Vision Surround feature that supports triple screen gaming with non-stereo displays.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX470 is the NVIDIA’s first CPU to support DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.0. With the Fermi architectural, it significantly helps for general computing in CUDA, DirectCompute and OpenCL.

Fermi architectural is the codename of next generation of CUDA architecture, it helps in graphics enhancements and it is the most advanced GPU computing architecture ever built. It is based with over three billion transistors and featuring up to 512 CUDA cores, so it can delivers incredible graphics improvement, supercomputing features and performance at 1/ 10th the cost and 1/ 20th the power of traditional CPU servers.

GeForce GTX 400 series features 3-way NVIDIA SLI technology, which offers amazing performance scaling implementing 3-way AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering) for better gaming solution. A 32x Anti-aliasing technology, which lighting fast and high quality anti-aliasing up to 32x sample rate obliterates jagged edges.

Both GeForce GTX480 and GeForce GTX470 are compatible and support for OpenGL applications and they are designed to work perfectly with the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture that offers maximum 5GT/ second bandwidth for data transfer while playing the 3D online games.

Both GeForce GTX480 and GTX470 are the industry’s largest and highest resolution flat-panel display up to 2560 x 1600 that support for HDCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). They are fully integrated support for HDMI 1.3a, deep color and 7.1 digital surround sound support.
