Nokia Corporation, the top mobile maker, is planning to launch its new Symbian-based C series of mobile phones, according to the Daily Mobile report. If the source is correct, then both C5 and C6 will be served as Nokia’s first C series of mobile phone in the market soon.

The overall of the smartphone market grew 26 percent in the fourth quarter last year and Nokia remains the overall mobile market leader with 37.7 percent of the market share. In order to maintain and grow the mobile market share, Nokia is working hard to produce more innovative mobile phones in near future.

Nokia C5 is a new mobile phone that will expect to be showcased on this coming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Nokia C5 is the powered by Symbian S60 third version FP2 operating system and it is equipped with 2.2-inch of Quarter Video Graphic Array (QVGA) screen display; 3.2-megapixel of camera with auto-focus and LED flash; 50MB of internal memory; MicroSD slot; a 3.5MM audio jack and built-in FM radio.

It supports for GPS-receiver, A-GPS and HSDPA and HSUPA connectivity. The High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) provides faster mobile broadband that allows users to access data services at speeds up to 8 times the speed of 3G; whereas the High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) can help to optimize uplink performance, it increases the speed while upload data to the Internet sites. It is a mid to low end mobile phone, so most probably will have a low price.

Nokia C6 is running the same Symbian operating system like the Nokia C5 and the device supports for touch-screen and it has a full QWERTY keypad just like the E series of Nokia phones. Nokia C5 will have the upgraded 5-megapixel camera and supports for UMTS and HSDPA. It is expected to hit the market in late May or early June 2010 for 200 Euros.
