Lenovo first Y Series laptop with 3D feature is now available

Lenovo has start shipping its latest Y series laptop after the first announcement at 17th June 2010. Lenovo IdeaPad Y560d will be the company’s first multimedia laptop that comes with 3D screen display.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y560d has 15.6-inch of display with 1366 x 768 screen resolution. It utilizes the TriDef 3D technology that capable to play the standard 2D videos appear in 3D effect and view computer graphics on 3D displays. The 3D software and glasses are also included in the package upon purchase.

The laptop is driven by ATI’s mobility Radeon HD 5730 GPU with 1GB of memory and pre-loaded with 64-bit of Windows 7 Home Premium release RTM 7600. The Intel Core i7 processor is featuring Intel Turbo Boost Technology to deliver extra GHz for the system and capable to handle high-end games and graphical designs that intensively use of resources.

The laptop equips with a 1.6GHz Core i7-620M CPU, 4FB of DDR3 RAM, 500GB hard drive with speed 5,400 rpm and discrete graphics card with or without RapidDrive 64GB SSD. With the ATI Switchable Graphics technology, it turns the laptop with maximum performance and longer the battery life.

Users can prefer their CPU options from range of 2.13GHz Intel Core i3-330M to 1.86GHz Intel Core i7-840QM; extend the memory up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and increase the hard disc storage up to 750GB.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y560d comes with RapidDrive technology, which combines both SSD and HHD storage solutions to speed up the Window 7 boot-up times up to 66% faster and improved overall applications performance with twice of the speed on loading and copy files within the computer much more faster that others laptops that do not equip with RapidDrive technology.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y560d is included with JBL-designed speakers and Dolby home theater surround sound for better entertainment in music and movies. The laptop also includes an optional Blu-ray Disc drive, high-definition graphics support and the HDMI interface for connecting the laptop to external device such like High-Definition Television or gaming console.

1. Optional Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth connectivity.
2. It includes SlideNav, which is an intelligent touch sensitive slide base application for easy navigation on the screen.
