HP announces two new All-In-One Desktop PCs

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has recently introduced its two new all-in-one desktops, which are going to be added on their official website this coming Wednesday and at retail on 24th October 2010. Both TouchSmart 301 and Omni 100 feature 20-inch of High-Definition wide-screen with 1600 x 900 resolution displays.

The TouchSmart 310 comes with a brand new case design and the screen is touch-enabled with HP’s latest TouchSmart software installed whereas the Omni 100 is low-cost all-in-one desktop without touch-enabled feature.

The TouchSmart 310 is the latest device in the TouchSmart line, which is powered by a 2.8GHz AMD Athlon II processor, 4GB of RAM, 1TB of 7,200RPM hard drive (upgradeable to 2TB), pre-loaded with latest version of HP’s Windows 7 touch and overlay custom interfaces for social networking such as Facebook, Hulu, Netflix, Twitter as well as HP’s built-in HDTV tuner.

Its touch-enabled screen allows users access to free and subscription-based applications from the web and lets users drag applications, music, photos, videos and content from the web onto the desktop. For example, the installed TouchSmart software includes a new touch-based Marvel Comics download service with the access to the largest library of stream-able Marvel Comics, users can access to the library and drag the comics onto the desktop.

1. AMD Athlon II 240e 2.80GHz dual core processor.
2. 1TB of 7,200RPM SATA hard drive.
3. 20-inch multi-touch HD wide-screen display.
4. ATI Radeon HD 4270 of integrated graphics card.
5. Supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n.
6. Six USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, Audio Line-out, Headphone, Microphone.
7. Two integrated speakers and a webcam.
8. Built-in HDTV tuner.
9. Supports Bluetooth.

The Omni brand is the budget all-in-one desktop that target for the consumers, who do not require high-end computer. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Athlon II processor, 3GB of RAM, 500GB of 7,200RPM hard drive (upgradeable to 1TB). Instead of TouchSmart, it has installed HP’s Media Smart software.

Both TouchSmart 310 and Omni 100 will be available at this coming October for $699.99 and $499.99 respectively.
