G-Drive slim comes with factory HFS Plus with Journaling enabled file system for Macintosh and Time Machine Ready. It is made with a light-weight aluminum enclosure, supports plug-and-play feature and it is about 7mm thick and easy to carry or fit into the pocket.

Journaling file system enhances computer availability and fault resilience, it protects the integrity of the file system on the drive in the event of an un-planned shutdown or power failure.

The hard drive is shock-protected and the aluminum enclosure acts as passive heat sink to keep the drive from over-heat after long hours use. It is bus powered via an USB 2.0 port, so users do not need to purchase additional power adapter for it.

It uses the USB 2.0 interface for the data transfer and its data transfer rate can be up to 480Mbit per second. There is only one storage capacity of the G-Drive Slim, which is 320GB and the device is now available at Apple’s retail stores for $99.99.
