Axon Logic new Haptic Tablet powered by Darwin OS

Axon Logic has recently introduced their latest Haptic tablet that pre-loaded with Darwin Operating System. Darwin is an open source operating system released by Apple Inc. in year 2000 and Darwin forms the core set of components upon which Max OS X, Apple TV and iOS are based.

Axon Haptic has installed major components of Darwin and EFI partition that used for booting and as a staging area for firmware update. So users can install any Darwin Operating System such as Pure Darwin and upgrade its firmware effortlessly.

Axon Haptic has 10.1-inch of resistive LCD touch-screen display that spots 1024 x 600 pixel resolution with LED back-lighting. It recognizes the input commands from the touch-screen by finger and stylus. It comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 2GB of built-in SO-DIMM RAM slots, a 320GB of hard drive.

This tablet features a built-in 1.3 megapixel of webcam that can be used to take video, snap photos and even perform a video call with friend or family. Its built-in speaker is best for music entertainment. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity.

Axon Haptic has 3G CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) version of SIM slot that allows users to insert their SIM card and make a normal phone call based on their nation’s cellular network. It has three USB ports, head phone jack, microphone jack, Ethernet jack, VGA port and card reader. This device is running bases on its 3000mAh removable battery.

Axon Haptic is now available and open for pre-order for $750.
