Asus new notebooks with Sandy Bridge Processors

Asus, the multinational computer product manufacturer centered in Taiwan, has planned to release two new set of the gaming notebooks in the near future. Both G53SW/ G73SW and N53SV/ N73SV will be equipped with Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors.

Sandy Bridge is the codename for the processor micro-architecture developed by Intel, it uses the same 32nm manufacturing process as Westmere. This will benefit the new notebooks with Turbo Boost technology running on Core i-series.

Asus G73SW model come with 17.3-inch LCD screen with full High-Definition 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is running on Intel Core i7-2630QM and 8GB of DDR3 RAM at 133MHz. It has dual 500GB Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drives (500GB Hard Disk Drive + 4 GB SSD per drive). It has equipped with DVD drive and an integrated a dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 460m 1.5GB GDDR5 graphics card.

Asus G53SW model has High-Definition 15.6-inch screen. It comes with 1TB of storage capacity and Blue-ray equipped. It has almost the similar configurations and specifications with the G73SW model. Both models will have USB 3.0 ports, support for Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth modules. They also have pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.

On the other hand, Asus N53SV and N73SV also come with Intel Sandy Bridge processors with Turbo Boast technology and provide a great processing power while maintaining low power consumption. Asus N53SV is expected to be launched by the end of January 2011 for the entry price of $1,197. The installed memory is a minimum of 4GB and up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

Asus N53SV will have 15.6-inch screen and equipped with an LED backlit display on 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It has standard hard disk drive of 500GB and additionally there is a DVD burner. The N53SV is characterized by various ports and interfaces, which include the classic jack audio; network adapter; VGA and HDMI video output; USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports; and multi-format bard reader.

Asus N73SV is a 17.3-inch notebook that retains most of the specifications, processor of the N53SV model and it is expected to come with an entry level price of $1699.
