Saving energy/ electricity is one of the important fact that helps to cut down the costs on daily expense. It does not need to take days on planning how to save energy, but general knowledge could help you to have great saving when using your electronic gadgets.

1. Turn off lights, Television, appliances when not being used. Remember to unplug the electronic devices from the power source after turned off them.

2. Plug your electronics devices into power strips to prevent these devices still draw the idle electrical current when they have been turned off (Not being physically unplugged from power source).

3. Lowering the temperature of your water heater can help to save energy.

4. Wash clothes in cold water, save the energy by heating the water when watching the clothes.

5. Run the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer when there are full loaded.

6. Replace the old incandescent light bulbs with energy saving fluorescent bulbs.

7. Install a programmable thermostat compatible with your hearing and cooling system.

8. Install Solar power plates or thermal panels on your house’s root, it produces renewable energy source.

9. Use the electronic products that have the Energy Star label, because they have been proved by the US Department of Energy as power saving products.

10. Another way to save energy and costs is to use energy efficient LED lights.

11. Day-lighting skylights can save more on energy cost on great sunny days.

12. Always close your house and fridge doors, each minute a fridge door is left opened, it takes three minutes to cool back again. Close the curtains to cover your windows at night. All of these efforts lead to conserve energy by preventing heat loss.

14. Participate in “Earth Hour” event yearly to turn off all your electricity in one hour.
