Yamaha YSP-5100 model of Digital Sound Projector

On 3rd December 2009, Yamaha had introduced the latest YSP-5100 model of digital sound projector. YSP-5100 is the successor to the YSP-4100 and YSP series is specially designed for home theater equipment. YSP-5100 is possible to be used with HDTV entertainment system up to 50 inches. It is also compatible with video projector and supports 7.1-channel surround sound with 120W output power.

According to the news, this projector also supports Dolby TrueHD/Digital Plus, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Ex, Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, dts-HD Master Audio, dts, ES, dts Neo: 6 audio codec. Users can stream audio directly from the Apple portable media player to the speakerbar by using the Yamaha YIT-W10 wireless transmitter.

It features UniVolume, Music Enhancer, Bass Extension and AirWired technology for wireless music streaming. It measures 1,200 x 90 x 213 mm and about 11KG. It comes with five High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) hubs (Four inputs, one output), an iPod port, an additional sub-woofer connection and it is packed with 42 individual speakers behind the grill. It includes 40 beam drivers (2-Watt each), two woofers (20-Watt) and two tweeters (20-Watt) with digital amplifiers.

Cinema DSP is actually creating richly realized independent sound fields that envelop you in an unmatched surround sound experience. The YSP-5100 has both Japanese and English menus and it will be available in Japan later this month for the selling price of 200,000 Yen (approximate $2,280 dollars).
