Different airlines serve different type of food. It is depending upon the airline company and class of travel. Sometimes, meals may be served as “one tray” or in multiple courses with no tray and with a table cloth, metal cutlery and glassware. The range of foods can be from a simple beverage in short haul economy class to a sever course gourmet meal in long haul first class.

Depending of the ticket type, passengers might be charged for the foods and beverages. Recently, I have received an email about the Airline meals and after the research, I was found a website called as Airlinemeals that lists thousand of airlines meals from thousand of airlines companies. All the foods and beverages photos, comments, rating were submitted by the airlines’ passengers. Below are the list of some selected airlines meals.

Aces Airlines

Meal: Chicken and vegetables, salad and dessert.
Drink: Your choice (i.e. wine, Colombian sodas, regular sodas, coffee).

Alliance Air

Meal: Ketchup, almond biscuit, cheesecake, cake made of goat milk with some silver topping.
Drink: Orange juice.

Cathay Pacific




Meal: Appetizer, chocolate, porridge, prawn butterfly wrapped with bean curd skin, steamed rice, mixed vegetables, garlic bread, baked pear tart with fresh berries, yogurt.
Drink: Coffee, tea, cappuccino, juices.

HongKong Express

Meal: Breakfast – fruit, turnip cake with noodles.
Drink: Water, orange juice with soft drinks.

Japan Airlines





Meal: Snacks, pre-landing breakfast, sushi, assorted fresh fruits, close-up of desserts, hazelnut cream cake.
Drink: Jamaica blue mountain coffee, petits fours, bailey’s as an after-dinner drink, espresso panna cotta with coffee jelly.

Meal: Vegetarian salad with cheese, vegetarian roll with spinach filling and tomato sauce, various fruits for dessert, warm vegetarian bread.

Meal: Warm breakfast pastries chosen from basket, ice-cream (vanilla, chocolate), carrot cake, fresh sliced fruits, cheese cake, Camembert and Roquefort with olives and crackers, main cart with choices of fillet of red snapper in shrimp bisque sauce, shrimps served in roasted garlic chili sauce, grilled bread of chicken with asparagus sauce, roasted lamb.
