Thinergy, the innovative micro energy cells

Thursday, August 20th, 2009 | In Electronics Accessories | Tags: ,

In this modern age, nearly all the electronic devices are battery-powered and operated with a limited duty cycle. Battery often limit their energy lifetime and require periodic replacement.

It will be advantageous to incorporate energy harvesting solutions with more efficient energy storage devices to make longer system lifetime and achieve lower total cost of the ownership. Therefore, the new invented of Thinergy micro energy cell from Infinite Power Solution (IPS) represents an entirely new class of electronic component that is ultra thin in size and flexible to providing nearly loss less energy storage along with unrivaled recharge-ability, cycle life and power performance.

The Micro Energy Cells (MEC) have no “Memory” effect like other battery technologies, so they can retain their full capacity through their lifetime. Each MEC requires only 4.1v for charging, and can accept a charge with as little as few hundred nanoAmps of electronic current. Recharge takes only a few seconds to a few minutes, that depending on the state of discharge. It also can be recharged up to 10,000 cycles, making them perfect for trickle charge or constant recharge applications, such like used as a backup battery or when integrated with energy harvesting circuits.

IPS is offering fours models of the Thinergy cells.
