Apple Magic Mouse, the world’s first Multi-Touch mouse

Friday, October 23rd, 2009 | In Electronic Gadgets | Tags: ,

On 20th October 2009, Apple had introduced its latest product – Apple Magic Mouse, which is the world first multi touch mouse that was invented by using Apple’s revolutionary Multi-Touch technology. It has the entire top of multi touch surface to replace the traditional mouses that have mechanical buttons, scroll wheels or the scroll balls.

Multi-Touch allows users to navigate the pointer on the screen by using intuitive finger gestures. So, users can click anywhere, scroll in any direction (vertically, horizontally, diagonally or a full 360 degrees) and its smooth, seamless top shell allows users to swipe the web pages in Safari or photos in iPhoto with two fingers.

Apple Magic Mouse works wirelessly using bluetooth and users can enjoy a secure and reliable connection from up to 33 feet away. This eliminate the need of cables or adapters cluttering your workplace.

The built-in software allows users to configure the navigation in any way they want. The seamless, one button design of this Apple Magic Mouse makes it simple to use, and users can switch to the functionality of a two-button mouse by change the configuration in System Preferences. The ambidextrous construction of Apple Magic Mouse is great for lefties or righties.

Apple Magic Mouse is also featured with a laser tracking engine, which is more sensitive and responsive on more surfaces than other traditional optical technology. So users can use it on any surfaces without the mouse-pad required. Apple Magic Mouse is available at the end of October 2009 through the Apple Store for a suggested retail price of $69 per unit. Apple Magic Mouse required Mac OS X Leopard version 10.5.8 or later.
